Building on today’s homeowner preference for furniture-style darker shades, Timberlake Cabinetry, a leading supplier to the new construction market, now offers the Java finish for all cherry collections. Launched in August 2010, the addition brings the intensity of deep color to 16 styles in the Portfolio Select® and Portfolio® Series.

Java is Timberlake’s darkest finish for cherry. It takes the natural warmth of cherry hardwood and adds a richness and sophistication to the look. The strong color creates an instant impression of contemporary elegance. A closer look reveals all the graining and texture that makes hardwood cherry a perennial favorite.

“Cherry is exceptionally beautiful in darker shades, and this intense coloring creates a refined and upscale look. It creates a welcoming look in a kitchen, a professional air for an office, a quiet grace in a bedroom. We’ve featured it extensively in the 2011 New American Home with impressive results,” says Laura-Jo Boynton, Brand Marketing for Timberlake.

Embracing the trend of rich, warm, dark colors in furniture design, Timberlake Cabinetry, a leading supplier to the new construction market, introduces Espresso, its darkest finish for Maple cabinetry. Espresso is available in six collections within the Timberlake® Portfolio® and Portfolio Select® Series.

The near-noir Espresso finish creates dense, dramatic coloring, yet brings out the natural grain of the Maple hardwood. The result is a look that’s striking, elegant and cosmopolitan. The new shade was launched in August of 2010 in the Capistrano®, Sonoma®, Cumberland® Square, Scottsdale® Square, and Tahoe® Square door styles. It will be available on Timberlake’s new Lausanne™ collection when it debuts in March 2011.

“More than ever, we see homeowners drawn to the darker shades in all types of home decor,” says Laura-Jo Boynton, Brand Marketing for Timberlake. “With our Espresso finish Timberlake expands the palette, opening new options in design thinking. For example, Espresso adds depth to today’s contemporary home designs and also complements transitional looks. It moves effortlessly from the kitchen to the living room, dining room, bath, home office, and throughout the home. Espresso is another fresh, chic Timberlake style that gives homebuilders the elements to create a custom-built look.”

Enthusiastic response from homeowners in focus group research is the genesis of Maple Hazelnut Glaze, the latest glazed finish from Timberlake Cabinetry, a leading supplier to the new construction market. It will be available in three collections within the Timberlake® Portfolio Select® Series.

Striking contrast is created by a rich, brown glaze wiped over a warm, white-painted hardwood maple. A timeless light look takes on new depth with the hazelnut accentuating the detailing and textures of the design. The new premium finish was introduced in August 2010 in the Sierra Vista® and Rushmore® door styles. It will also be offered on Timberlake’s forthcoming New Haven™ collection at its March 2011 launch.

“By staying in touch with homebuyers preferences, Timberlake is able to consistently bring fresh, new ideas to the marketplace that have the look and feel of custom-built.” says Laura-Jo Boynton, Brand Marketing for Timberlake. “With our Maple Hazelnut Glaze, we recognized the trends toward refined contrasting looks. Homebuyers told us they liked the play of light and dark, the dappling of color in the grooves and corners. In addition, the light-and-dark blend opens the option of pairing the glazed cabinetry with classic wood finish cabinets for a sophisticated custom look. This motif is showcased beautifully in the kitchen of the 2011 New American Home, where the interior designer chose to feature Maple Hazelnut Glaze with our new Cherry Java cabinetry.”
